Her Morning Routine: Evelina Vilkaite

Her Morning Routine

7 AM: I wake up around this time (I tend to stay up until late at night, so 7 AM is the earliest I can get up and properly function). I start my mornings off with a cup of lovely warm turmeric and lemon water because of its long list of health benefits. Then I spend 15 minutes meditating, it helps me to clear my mind and be more focused later in the day. Then I spend a few minutes visualising my goals – it powers me to keep to working toward achieving them.

7:30 AM: I start my work out, I love to do this is a first thing in the morning as it acts as a tremendous source of energy, something I need to start my day. Recently I became a huge fan of barre workouts. I’ve been a professional ballet dancer and I am very happy that I finally found an exercise regime which has ballet-inspired moves. I usually work out for about 30-40 min.

8:10 AM: by this time I take a quick shower.

8:30 AM: I make myself a cup coffee, light breakfast, check news and before I start going through my emails I read a few of my favourite motivational and empowering quotes it helps me to stay focused and helps me to achieve my goals.

I have a luxury of starting my working day at home without having to rush to the office and I usually don’t start seeing my clients before 10 AM.

Best advice for a productive day

The key for a productive day is to make a to-do list the night before. The last thing I do when I am finishing my work day is to create a to-do list for tomorrow. This is way, I already know what to expect the next day which keeps me focused and it saves me time trying to figure out what I need to do.

Planning your day before you go to bed is effective because people generally have a limited amount of willpower and decision-making ability. The thought of making too many decisions in the morning usually slows us down and drains our brain for the rest of the day. If you can eliminate decision-making from your mornings, you’ll have more energy and time to have the most productive morning you can.

I also think it’s important to remind ourselves about our goals and why we want to achieve them every morning. Motivation doesn’t last forever, so we need to replenish it regularly. I love starting my day by reading my favourite motivational and empowering quotes.
